Arab Money: the scent behind the name

Every house has one scent that explains all the others. Ours is Arab Money — the first bottle we ever blended, and still the one people stop us to ask about.

What Arab Money smells like

It opens bright and spiced: saffron and cinnamon, sharp enough to turn your head. The heart is where the money is — pure oud, dark and resinous, lifted by rose so it glows instead of broods. The base is amber and vanilla: warm, heavy, and still there when you take your coat off at the end of the night.

It's a statement scent in the classic Middle-Eastern tradition — this is what real oud smells like, not the synthetic impression. One spray to the chest does a full evening.

The name

Arab Money is a nod to where this style of perfumery comes from and what it never apologises for: generosity, presence, gold on dark wood. Oud has anchored Gulf perfumery for centuries because it smells like wealth that doesn't need to speak first. We named the bottle honestly instead of hiding the reference behind a French word.

Who it's for, and when

Evenings, occasions, cold months, and anyone who'd rather be remembered than merely noticed. It's worn mostly by men but there's nothing in the bottle that says it has to be — intensity has no gender. If you want the same presence turned quieter, its brother Khallas trades the saffron glow for tobacco and leather.

The details

Arab Money is an eau de parfum, hand-blended in London in small batches: £32.99 for 50ml, £54.99 for 100ml, with free UK delivery over £100. It ships in our black-and-gold presentation box. See the bottle here.
